How long can we keep on waiting for?
Visits seep sickness into the floor
All around the room
Are lonely figures
And figurines
We pretend we never let in
I hope there's a human inside of me
So he can what I think
I hope there's a human inside of me
So he can something
Push this wooden horse
From its wooden frame
(things wont be the same)
Drill a hole in your head
Free the ghosts from your brain
Let it all out
Let it all
(Let it in/Wandering)
Now you're the experiment
You always wanted to be
All doors and complete
And secret figurines
Let it in
To let it out
Let it in
Let it out
Hole in my back and front
It started so young
I know nothing can be done
How long can we keep on waiting for?
Pushes against
That pushes it out
Pushes against
Then pushes it out
How long can you be sturdy for?
Visits seep sickness into the floor
Up, up, up, up, up
You can empty your mind
Hand in your throat
Trying to pull yourself out
And out of sight
I pass on through
Holding hands
Out of the world
Peaceful lights
And the light embrace

Frankly, I go for bedroom recordings. Why... well, in such a setting with (usually) limited technical resources, the only way out is real good songwriting! And Tom Milsom aka "Gemini Eye" evidently has plenty of the required talent. "Alien Home" is a fun album with great lyrics and clever, ever-surprising song ideas, demonstrating that even a most tasty meal doesn't need more than simple ingredients. More favorite tracks besides "Home": "Charlie's Birthday Song", "A Little Irony", and "West Street". Sven B. Schreiber (sbs)
