The train slowed down to a halt
In the snow, no one knows
The lights flicker on and off
Are we great wizards or ghosts?
Holding off yesterdays paper
As another day goes
Down the carriage the driver goes, offering nods and apologies
"I'm sorry we've gone so slow, but this isn't slow! We've just stopped in the snow" - He's trying to stretch the truth.
Putting on a performance
The day before Christmas
I lean over and catch your smile
As you look at the frosted window
Nothing to see but a hint of your own reflection
